About Me

Vicky Paradisis

I have been shooting portraits of friends, family and clients for more than half of my life! My love for photography began as a high school student. Not only was I able to learn the fundamentals of photography (darkroom development and printing… old fashioned photography), but I also had the opportunity to co-op at an award-winning studio, where I decided to pursue photography as a career. After earning my diploma in Applied Photography at Algonquin College, I spent a great deal of time abroad, taking photos and immersing myself in foreign culture! The bulk of my early work experience was at a Montreal-based talent agency, shooting portfolios for all the models and actors. After working for several years in Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto, my life brought me back to Peterborough. Nearly a decade after high school, I returned to the same studio where I had been a co-op student, to apprentice with a prominent, local wedding photographer.

The thing I love most about my job is probably the same thing every other photographer loves: We are constantly capturing happy moments. That’s our work environment… happy!

Celebrations! Landmarks! Reunions! Smiles.

People don’t bring us to the worst day of their lives- they invite us to capture the happiest ones! We get to share your best days with you… What’s not to love about that??

I look forward to hearing from you and about the moments you’d like me to capture!

I currently divide my time between working in the GTA and the Kawartha Lakes region… what a beautiful balance!
